A Dex is a compilation of words from chapters that you’ve chosen to study. It can also include different chapters from different books. You can save Dex and then combine them to form new ones. We recommend naming your Dex for your personal reference.

1. Click on the “Step 1: Load Your Textbook” drop down menu when you’re in the “My Dex” page and select the book you want to study.
2. The chapters should load in a few moments in the “Step 2: Select Chapters” box.
3. Click on the chapters you want to study and they should appear in the “Step 3: Customize a Dex” box.
See! It really is as easy as 1, 2, 3!!

Once you’ve selected your textbook, you can right click on the chapter you’re working on and select ‘Open Chapter List’. A box should appear onscreen that will load all of the words in that chapter.

In the ‘Step 3: Customize a Dex’ you can fill in any name for your Dex in the ‘Dex name:’ text field.

Right click on the Dex you want deleted in the ‘Saved Dex’ box, and select ‘delete’.

To view the words from a particular saved Dex, click on the Dex you wish to view and the chapters from that Dex will appear in the ‘Step 3: Customize a Dex’ box. Click on the chapter you would like to view and the word list will appear onscreen.

Depending on the capacity of your phone, the number of words in a Dex will vary. You can keep track of your capacity on the capacity meter on the bottom right corner as you go.

You can save as many as 20 Dex in the 'Saved Dex' box.

Yes, just click on the Dex in the 'Saved Dex' box and you'll be able to edit it in the 'Customize a Dex' box.

Yes, you can make a Dex with multiple textbooks. After you have selected the chapters you want from one particular textbook, just select the next textbook from ‘Step 1: Load Your Textbook’ and begin selecting the chapters you want included.
Make sure you don’t click ‘save’ until you have all the chapters you want in that Dex. Remember, each time you click ‘save’, a new Dex will be made.
